An ex just recently contacted me again. We talked for awhile and shared a few memories. It was nice. Nothing dramatic, nothing sad, no fighting…it was good to share some time again. We said goodbye and I went to sleep. The next day (today) was rather awful. I realized that I missed her quite a bit. I just got out of a semi-abusive relationship (yes you read that right). I was hurt and trying to forget using some alcohol and failing at my attempt to quit smoking. Granted, this was not my ex’s fault. I’ve sent through the wringer lately, keeping my stiff upper lip as I went. I was, however, vulnerable. I had no intention of contacting my ex and was attempting to forget the recent abuse by her successor. Today, I received a text. Upon further prompting, I discovered she was drunk. Here’s where it begins to go downhill. Yes, I kept taking to her. Yes, we began flirting. Yes, the man with his brains in his ass (your’s truly) attempted to ask her out again. Now, it doesn’t help that I had taken a few painkillers and remained rather tired (still am). Thinking she’d say yes or a least offer a role in hay, I was determined. In the end, I was embarrassed. So, why do I share this with you now? To ask you with utmost respect and consideration to not follow in my footsteps. Consider your actions and treat yourself with respect, no matter what your current situation. In closing, I offer you my brightest of blessings for good health and love. Peace.

I have a few interesting things I’d like to report. This Thanksgiving has been a turbulent one, one I shall certainly never forget. I woke to my current inn, if you will, in Swampscott to a beautiful day and clear ocean water. Change was in the air. I set out to my dinner location and arrived just in time to begin the cooking process. Reverend Don, one of new Wiccan mentors, welcomed me graciously and with a warm heart. Lexi, a spit-fire of a southern belle and my new lady friend, presented herself in good cheer, as well. Spicing up the Turkey and preparing the veggies was certainly a most enjoyable experience. The meal came out brilliantly with compliments all around to one another. This dinner was team effort in it’s greatest of forms. We ate and were merry shortly after our ritual naming of the turkey: Frederik Robert Hapsburg. We do so, somewhat in jest, but to honor the sacrifice that both the animal and the earth gives to us on our day of thanks.

Prior to the meal, however, I phoned my mother. I realized she had been in dire straights after my leaving and such. We had words the day before, and she was very depressed. Nothing I could say would rouse her, not even my (perceived) sincere apologies. Upon which, we hung up; and I phoned my grandmother. She, on a pleasant note was glad to hear from me saying how nice I was for calling. We chatted about my mother. She warned me that my mother is down and the like, but also conveyed her’s and the family’s love for me. I view got misty and I wished her love. Here, I paused for a cigarette. The meal then commenced.

Afterwards, the Rev. layed down for an after meal nap, as he had a radio show later that night. Lexi and I stayed and cleaned and then began to think of things to do in the meantime. I have, indeed, been attempting to court her. She has gained my affections and ignited my lust in a way that I didn’t think possible. The animal within me is awake and hungry. So, attempting to be innocent, we merely caused to pass the time. I could not resist the urge to ask her if we could fun before she returns south for the Yule season. You see, I am to wait for January before our serious relationship talks are to be had. My logic is, why not have fun in the meanwhile. But, I digress. We began to get a little…well, intense. We have decided it is acceptable to pursue a purely physical relationship for the time being. I am her subordinate; she, my dominant. Aye, this is the road we have taken; one that allows me to feel and her to sternly give. (No, I shan’t be “bottom” if that’s your thought. Still man and woman, just she’s in charge.) This is…well, oddly exciting to me. Mind you, my personality is that of a dom…however, not here. I learned this bizarre thing today and enjoy it.

Further, my religion is going strong. I shall be Wiccan clergy by the new year: First Degree Reverend of the Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca. This is a position I take very seriously as I will be a legitimate religious leader and, hopefully, mentor. I am lucky to have the First Priest and Chancellor, Reverend Don, as one of my teachers. My mentor, in title, is the organization’s First Elder, Edward Hubbard. This, needless to say, is a big deal. Also, considering I am now the organization’s head of shipping for the business end, and an online/in person salesman, I am truly blessed.
